Search Engine Optimization
Also known as: SEO
What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the practice of making a website crawlable, relevant and trusted so it earns positions in organic search results.
SEO remains the foundation layer for every newer discipline. Answer engines and AI assistants retrieve from the same crawlable web, so a page that cannot be discovered, rendered and understood by Googlebot is rarely the page an assistant cites.
Modern SEO is less about keyword density and more about coverage of a topic, clean information architecture, fast rendering, and evidence of real-world authority.
