C2PA
Also known as: Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity
What is Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity?
C2PA is the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity, which develops a technical specification for associating verifiable provenance records with digital content.
The specification defines manifests, assertions, ingredients, signatures, and content bindings.
Cryptographic validation, trust in a signer, and factual corroboration are distinct questions. None should be presented as a universal truth detector.
